Synthesis of Some Alkyl Polyglycosides

Surfactants are indisputably more important today, in terms of their use industry and daily life, as well the tasks they perform. In recent years, due to driving force environmental concerns, orientations alternatives surfactants that cause less or no harm environment have accelerated. One these trends is synthesis alkyl polyglycosides (APG) detergent industry. this study, different acidic catalysts were used for APGs highest yield was achieved with sulfuric acid. carbon numbers obtained using octanol, decanol, dodecanol, octanol/cetyl alcohol (w/w 80/20). The FTIR spectra structures APG products fatty alcohols some commercial compared, elucidated. addition, foam quality hydrophilicity properties impart textile material compared surfactants, results interpreted evaluated.
